Akron Global Water Alliance will be hosting the U.S. Algal Toxin Conference 2016 on April 27, 28, 29. This is the second annual conference. This event will showcase the successes of AGWA and present the upcoming issues around harmful algal blooms and regulations.

Akron and Israel Deal Brings Israeli Advanced Waste Water Project to Akron
A new initiative between the City of Akron and the State of Israel will further develop Akron’s position as a leader in the global water industry. The City of Akron will be the exclusive North American government partner and location for Israel’s effort to bring cutting edge water technologies to the U.S. marketplace through an “Advanced Waste Water Treatment Demonstration Project.” Learn more.

March 2015
Akron Global Water Alliance will be hosting the US Algal Toxin Conference 2015 in conjunction with the Netherlands Water Alliance on April 28 - 30. The event will look at the science and solutions for Algal toxins created by harmful algal blooms through a packed schedule of  presentations, breakout sessions, round table discussions, panels, tours and a variety of exhibits. February 2015
The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recognized the Akron Global Water Alliance (AGWA) as a water technology cluster following the launch of the Akron Global Water Alliance. This is an important distinction, and one that is shared among only 13 other organizations nationwide. While the clusters are not affiliated directly with EPA, the federal organization works to support their efforts in the environmental technology field as these clusters may play valuable roles in the future of the U.S. Learn more.

October 2014 
The Akron Global Water Alliance (AGWA) officially launched in late October during an international event at the University of Akron. The two day event brought together more than 100 colleagues from the world's leading engineering and environmental firms alongside the Mayor of Akron and members of the City of Akron’s Economic Development and Water Departments, the University of Akron, the Akron Global Business Accelerator, Akron City Council and Summit County Council. Representatives were present at the event from other notable organizations and countries that include Israel, the Netherlands and the United States Environmental Protection Agency. Learn more.
